Kenpachi fights Komamura and TΕsen during the Soul Society arc. TΕsen traps Kenpachi in his Bankai's darkness, but Kenpachi adapts by relying on instinct and wounds him. Komamura then steps in with his giant Bankai, but Kenpachi remains unfazed, showing his overwhelming strength and love for battle.
